STARTING POINT SCHOOL
OUR SCHOOL
Starting Point is a small charity school in Goa, India. We provide education, food and clothing to street kids. We are supported by friends' donations.
Starting Point School first opened in 2002. The goal of the school is to offer education to some of Goa’s poorest children. These are the children of migrant workers from other states in India. They have come to Goa hoping to build a better future.
The staff at Starting Point reach out to these parents and offer their children a chance to receive education and a wholesome meal each day.
From its humble beginnings 20 years ago Starting Point has been able to offer a basic education to over 1000 children.

STAYING HEALTHY

Our curriculum includes basic cleanliness and health education. The school provides a weekly health check.
Every day the children receive a nutritious hot lunch. In the holidays Starting Point prepares food packages for the children and their families.

OUR
GRADUATES
Many of our former pupils have gone on to further education. In 2004 we began introducing our graduates to a sponsorship program. As a result, many former students have pursued their education to college level and have received their degrees.

HELP
